Spinning classes can be a great way to get in a vigorous workout -- burning calories and keeping you toned -- Spinning classes are done in a fitness studio, with various music settings to create an energized atmosphere. Instructors guide participants through workout phases. Warm-up, steady up tempo cadences, sprints, climbs, cool-downs, etc. You control resistance on your bike to make the pedaling as easy or difficult as you choose. Constant adjustment is normal. All you'll need is workout clothes, a towel (to wipe your face) and a water bottle.
(pronounced pi-lah-tees) is a form of exercise which build's your body's core strength and posture. This is done through a series of stretching and conditioning exercises.

The poses can be done quickly in succession, creating heat in the body through movement or more slowly to increase stamina and perfect the alignment of the pose. The poses are a constant, but the approach to them varies depending on the tradition in which the teacher has trained.

Circuit training is a workout program that combines several "stations" of different exercises. These stations are set up so that you alternate cardiovascular exercise with resistance training. You will work out at each station for a predetermined amount of time.

The kettlebell is a cast-iron weight with a handle used to perform ballistic exercises that combine cardiovascular, strength and flexibility training. By their nature, typical kettlebell exercises build strength and endurance, particularly in the lower back, legs, and shoulders, and increase grip strength. The basic movements, such as the swing, snatch, and the clean and jerk, engage the entire body at once and in a way that mimics real world activities such as shoveling or farm work. Unlike the exercises with dumbbells or barbells, kettlebell exercises often involve large numbers of repetitions. Kettlebell exercises are in their nature holistic; therefore they work several muscles simultaneously and may be repeated continuously for several minutes or with short breaks. This combination makes the exercise partially aerobic and more similar to High-intensity interval training rather than to traditional weight lifting.
